Rare Letter Bearing the Handwritten Signatures of Thirteen of the Tzaddikim of Jerusalem - Headed by the Gaon of Tshebin and the Daat Sofer of Pressburg - Exciting and unique letter, written on official stationery of the Building Fund of the Relief Committee for Refugee Rabbis, bearing the signatures of thirteen of the Tzaddikim of Jerusalem - honorable figures who, together, embody more than a thousand years of Torah and continuous Avodat Hashem. The letter was written in Jerusalem in Cheshvan, 1950. The letter was sent in the third year of the young State of Israel and is addressed to the Jerusalem District Commissioner. It details the appointment of thirteen prominent rabbis and Tzaddikim to the executive committee of the association, paving the way for the founding of Shikun HaRabbanim. Standing to this day, Shikun HaRabbanim remains a living relic of 'Heavenly Jerusalem' in the center of the ever-evolving city. Located in Jerusalem's beating commercial heart near the Central Bus Station, this enclave of modest, three-story buildings has been home to the city’s most venerable Tzaddikim. The towering spiritual legacy of its inhabitants shone far and wide, seemingly rising high above the modern skyscrapers that now surround the historic site on every side. [1] leaf. 33 cm. Typewritten with the original handwritten signatures of the rabbis. Good condition. Fold lines and filing perforations. Creases and tiny tears to the lower edge, far from the text and not affecting it.
