Never Auctioned! The Kollelim Polemic: Emet Umishpat - Jerusalem, 1901 - Rare! The Admor Rabbi David of Lelov at the Head of the Signatories - ”Kuntres Emet Umishpat, Shalom Shiftu Besha'areichem... the members of the Kollelim of Warsaw, Auastria, Galicia, Vohlin, Chabad, Bukovina, Venice, Zhitomir and Romania call... their brothers in the Diaspora, [to tell them] they are poorly off [ Ashukaei Mishpat] due to their Litvak brothers in Jerusalem...”. Jerusalem, 1901.  Although the publishers stated that this was Booklet I, intending to continue the written struggle, actually, this Kuntres remained the only one that was published.  At the head of the signatories, appearing at least twice is the signature of the Admor Rabbi David Zvi Shlomo Biderman of Leleov.  Hisotrical background: During that period, the support funds that arrived from abroad for the members of the Jewish Yishuv in the Eretz Yisrael (the Chalukkah funds) were distributed according to geographical groups of origin called Kollelim. The booklet reflects a claim made by members of the Chassidic, Galician, and Polish public (represented in the text by Kollel Warsaw, Austria, Galicia, Chabad, Vizhnitz, and others) against the leadership of the central Kollel of the Prushim - Kollel Polin and Kollel Lita (the Litvaks). The members of these Kollelim claimed that the leaders of Kollel Lita in Jerusalem were depriving them, treating them with ”Oshek Mishpat” and discriminating against them in the distribution of charity and subsistence budgets sent by their brothers in the Diaspora.  To the best of our knowledge, this Kuntres was never auctioned and this is its first appearance in an auction.  34 pp. 13 cm.  Good condition.
