Yesod! Kabbalistic Books of the Mashgiach Rabbi Yechezkel Levinstein: Two Sections of Leshem Shevo VeAchalmah - First Edition Jerusalem, 1926-1948 - Two Sections of the Kabbalistic Sefer Yesod Leshem Shevo VeAchalmah, an important work based on HaGra's Kabbalah, by the Mekubal Rabbi Shlomo Elyashiv. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 374. These books were owned by Maran the Mashgiach Rabbeinu Yechezkel Levistein.  1. Section II of Sefer Haklalaim - first edition Jerusalem, 1926. [4], 140 leaves. Interesting! The book has a title cover on thick green paper from 1930! We have not seen such a title page in other copies of the book .  2. Section II of the Bei'urim part - first edition Jerusalem, 1948. [1], 109 leaves.  No bindings. Moth perforations throughout the book. Stains and other minor blemishes. Good overall condition.  On the flyleaves of both books, stamps of Maran the Mashgiach the Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Levistein. From his time at the Ponovezh Yeshiva.  *** The Tzaddik Rabbi Yechezkel Levinstein (1885-1974) studied at the Radin Yeshiva, and was a disciple of Rabbi Yerucham Leibovitz, and of Rabbiv Zvi Hirsch Brody. Served as spiritual Mashgiach for the Kleck and Mir yeshivot, and as Mashgiach in the Petach Tikva Yeshiva, headed by Rabbi Reuven Katz. After the passing of his Rav, Rabbi Yerucham Leibovitz, the Mashgiach of the Mir Yeshiva, he returned to Poland to succeed him. At the Mir Yeshiva, he remained until the Holocaust, and then travelled with the students to Shanghai, where he became noticeable as a leader of the yeshiva, and Gedolei Hador would come to him with their questions. After he immigrated to Israel, he served as Mashgiach of the Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Berak. Among his disciples were Rabbi Gedalya Eisman, Rabbi Shlomo Wolbe, Rabbi Yitzchak Yerucham Borodiansky, Rabbi Dan Segal, Rabbi Shlomo Broda, and Rabbi Nachum Abba Grosbard. Was considered a leading contemporary Baal Mussar. He was known as Ha Mashgiach.  The author the Mekubal Rabbi Shlomo Elyashiv , the son of Rabbi Chaim Chaikel (1841-1926) known as Baal Haleshem. Was revered by contemporary Gedolei Torah. It is told that when the book reached Baghdada, the Ben Ish Chai was so impressed by the Kabbalistic Chidushim written within it that he organized a grand procession through the city streets in its honor, mirroring the celebration of Hachnasat Sefer Torah. The Chazon Ish said of him that he was the last Mekubal. Rav Kook referred to him several times as the greatest Mekubal of our generation.
