Rare! Shut Admor Hazaken - First Edition of Most of the Responses Shapiro Press Zhytomyr, 1847 an Edition that was Published Seperately - Shut by the Admor the Rav the true Gaon Chassid and Kadosh... Shneur Zalman... who responded to some Gedolim. And a lengthy Responsum about an Agunah by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev... The Press of the brothers Chanina Lipa, Aryeh Leib and Yehoshua Heschel Shapiro, the Rav of Slavita's grandsons, in Zhytomyr - 1847”. 44 leaves. Stefansky Chassidut 573. Fine new fabric binding.  This book, in addition to being printed inside the Shulchan Aruch published by the Shapiro Brothers in Zhytomyr in those years, was also printed seperately (as in this copy). This is noted in the foreword by the author's son, Rabbi Chaim Avraham: ”To merit the many who have the Shulchan Aruch which has already been published by this printing house, I have now edited the Shut alone, so they can easily buy it”. First edition of most of the Responsa Appearing on leaf 2 is a foreword by the author's son, Rabbi Chaim Avraham, who published this book, and in which he writes that the Shulchan Aruch books that he had edited [Zhytomyr 1847-1848] contain many additions to the Shulchan Aruch that had already been published [Warsaw 1838-1840] and many Shut. The Chassidic scholar Rabbi Yehoshua Mondshine notes that added in this edition are 23 new responses by the Admor Hazaken which were not published previously (which are most of the responses that were published until the 2023 edition, to which were added responses that were discovered in recent years by the Rashab Levin). On the last page, a handwritten signature: ”ברוך שלום הלוי אשליאק” - the handwritten signature of the Mekubal the Admor Rabbi Baruch Shalom Ashlag (the Rabash; 1907-1992) the eldest son and successor of the Admor Rabbi Yehuda Leib Halevi Ashlag Baal Hasulam. Author of Shlavei Hasulam, Dargot Hasulam, Birkat Shalom and Igrot Rabash.
