Touching! The Bag of Pidyon Nefesh Leaves, which was Carried by the Rebbe to the Ohel of the Rebbe the Rayatz - Av, 1991 - A rare, unique and precious item! A brown paper bag which had contained Pidyon Nefesh leaves which were often written with tears and delivered to the Rebbe. The Rebbe used to take the Pidyon Nefesh leaves (Kvitlach) to the Ohel of his in-law, the Rebbe the Rayatz, where he would read them. Some he used to tear and leave on the Tziyun while others he took back with him. As is known, the Rebbes ways of this Avodat Kodesh were mysterious and no one knows their hidden reason. Nessa'o Libo It is well-known that the Rebbe used to carry the Pidyon Nefesh leaves himself, often refusing the assistance of his secretaries as if saying, ”this is my burden to carry”! This is a paper bag which contained a package of Pidyon Nefesh leaves and was carried by the Rebbe to the Tziyun during summer 1991. During that summer, the Rebbe did not have the usual police escort on his trups to the Tziyun and yeshiva students used to escort him and wait for him to finish his Avodat Kodesh at the Tziyun of the Rebbe the Rayatz. This paper bag was taken by one of the students after the Rebbe had left the Tziyun on his way bacj to Beit Chayeinu and was kept by him with fear and trepidation.  A tear to the paper bag (possibly, for this reason it was left there by the Rebbe). Good overall condition. Inscription on the bag: ”אב נ”א”. The buyer will be given confirmation.  The proceeds will be given to Chabad institutions and Hachnasat Kalah.
