Special Historical Letter! Blessing of the Rebbe the Rayatz to Anshei Shlomeinu in Chicago Immediately after the ”Chicago Visit” - Adar, 1942 - Typewritten letter on the stationery of the Rebbe the Rayatz from Adar 23, 1942. ”אל ידידיי חברי עדת בנ”י בעי”ת שיקאגא יע”א ה' עליהם יחיו!”  [to my friends members of Adas Bnei Yisrael of Chicago...]. With the handwritten signature of the Rebbe the Rayatz.  An important letter that was sent to Anshei Shlomeinu in Chicago after the historical visit of the Admor the Rayatz to Chicago in 1942. At the beginning of his letter, the Rebbe refers to his sudden departure during the visit due to the passing of his mother, rebbetzin Sterna Sarah, the wife of the Admor the Rashab. The Rebbe writes: ”קויתי אשר בזמן בקורי את מחנם הט' אתראה עם לומדי השיעור באגודת עדת בנ”י ה' עליהם יחיו אבל לסיבת נסיעתי הפתאומית משם לא הספיק לי הזמן להתראות רק נשיא אגודתם הנכבד שי' בקרני לרגעים אחדים” [I had hoped that during my visit to their holy camp I would meet with those who study the daily lesson of Agudas Adas Bnei Yisrael but due to my sudden departure from there, time did not permit me to meet [them]; only the esteemed president of their Agudah visited me for a few moments].  The Rebbe praises the Chassidim and students for their study of the Torah: ”וידיד נפשי היקר באנשים וו”ח אי”א מוה”ר משה שי' הכהן שאיעוויץ סיפר לי בארוכה על אדות שקידת לימודם ושמירת זמני הלימודים ונהניתי במאד ”. As usual, he blesses them with touching blesses: ”והנני בזה לשלוח להם את ברכתי אשר ישפיע להם השי”ת שפעת חיים וברכה מרובה בגשמיות וברוחניות ויתרבה גבולם בחברים טובים שוקדים בלימוד ובהנהגה של יראת שמים ויגדיל תורה ויאדיר”.   The Rebbe ends with ”הדו”ש ומברכם” and his handwritten signature.  [1] leaf.
