Rare Edition of Hilchot Talmud Torah by the Admor Hazaken with an Approbation by Rabbi Moshe Leib of Sassov - Lviv, 1850 Several Handwritten Leaves with References to the Baal HaTanya - Fifth and rare edition of Hilchot Talmud Torah by Rabbeinu the Admor Hazaken, ”by the author of Sefer Tanya, as introduced in Sefer Tanya his work titled Talmud Torah, compiled... for everyone to quench their thirst and have thorough knowledge of the Dinim...”. With approbations by Rabbi Yosef Hoch Gilerenter Av Beit Din of Zamosht and Rabbi Moshe Leib of Sassov.  Printed in Lviv, without the printer's name. According to the scholar Rabbi Yehoshua Mondshine, based on the border of the title page, it was printed by the Promba Press. [24] leaves. Monshine, Sifrei Admor Hazaken Hilchot Talmud Torah, 5. Actually, this is the last edition of Hilchot Talmud Torah as a book in itself, until recently.    On the flyleaves, 4 handwritten pages of Chidushei Torah (possibly by the man who signed his name at the beginning of the first book). Among others, praise for the author the Admor Hazaken copied from varied sources including the foreword of his sons to his Shulchan Aruch.  Bound with SEfer Mitzvot Hashem - Lemberg, 1846. [157] leaves. Bound at its end is another leaf of the first edition of this book with Chassidic approbations for this book, including  by Rabbi Yissachar Ber of Zlotchov the author of Mevase Tzedek and Bat Eini, Rabbi Yaakov of Ostroh and more.  Ownership signatures on the title page: ”צדוק קרויז” - apparently, Rabbi Tzadok ben Rabbi Yechiel Halevi Kraus of Mogilev, who immigrated to Eretz Yisrael with the Aliyah of HaGra's disciples in 1814 and later was sent as a Shadar of the Kollelim of Jerusalem. Additional handwritten notations on 2 leaves, in addition to the 4 handwritten pages on the flyleaves.   Old binding with a leather spine - worn. Detached back board. Some moth perforations to the margins. Stains. Good overall condition.
