The Personal Tanya Book of the Famed Wonder-Worker Rabbi Herscheleh of Kretshnif who Said of Himself that He was Closely Attached to the Rebbe the Rayatz - The Personal Tanya book of the Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch (Rabbi Herscheleh) Rosenbaum of Kretshnif - the book from which he had studied for more than fifteen years and from which he delivered Tanya lessons to the public. On the front flyleaf, a dedication to the Admor of Kretshnif, dated and signed by Rabbi Yosef Avraham Pisam, the manager of the Chabad Talmud Torah of Kiryat Chaim:  ”לכ”ק האדמו”ר הרה”צ המפו'[רסם], מקרב ליבם של ישראל לאביהם שבשמים, רבים השיב מעוון מוהר”ר צבי הירש ראזענבוים האדמו”ר מקרעטשניף - ירושלים תובב”א שליט”א”. This is not a copy that was given to the Admor and then placed in his bookcase; this Tanya was Rabbi Herscheleh's personal copy, the copy from which he studied for many years and with it delivered regular Tanya lessons, as indicated by his contemporaries. The Admor's fondness of the Tanya was famed - recently, his lessons on the Tanya were published in a book titled Tzohar HaAvodah.  During a visit of the Gaon Chassid Rabbi Berl Lazar with the Admor of Vizhnitz, Rabbi Yisrael Hager Shlita, the Rabbi of Vizhnitz stated that the Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Krrtshnif was most fond of Sefer HaTnaya:  ”האדמו”ר רבי צבי הירש מקרעטשניף זצ”ל היה הדוק מאד בספר התניא”  (Funem Rebbines Hoif, Kiryat Vizhnitz, Bnei Berak, issue 243 - year VII).  Another story about how the Admor of Kretshnif was closely attached to the Rebbe the Rayatz was introduced by Rabbi Chanaya Yosef Eisenbach, an elderly Chabad Chassid of Jerusalem and author of the book Machanaeh Yosef:  ”סיפר לי כ”ק אדמו”ר מקרעטשינף סיגט (כפר אתא) זצ”ל, כי היה קשור מאד עם הרבי הריי”צ, וראה אצלו רוה”ק בגלוי כמה פעמים, ובכל ביקור שלו בארה”ב הוא הולך להשתטח על ציונו הק'. גם העיד על עצמו שבגיל ט”ו זכה לעמוד על ספר התניא ולמד עם בחורים בביהמ”ד של זקנו ”ועד היום אומר כל יום שיעור בתניא”. (Teshurah Mesimchat Nissu'ei Mishpachot Blinov-Musicant p. 186).  This is thus an extraordinarily significant copy of a Chassidic Sefer Yesod - Sefer HaTanya, which was regularly used by a leading Admor.  Sefer HaTanya from 1985, published by the branches of Chabad Women and Girls.  [4], 272, [2] leaves.  Elegant edition on quality paper with an impressive binding. Good condition. Marks of usage and study. Minor blemish to spine.   The Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum of Kretshnif - Rabbi Herscheleh (1920-2006) served as the Admor of Kretshnif in Kiryat Ata and later in Jerusalem. He was born in Sighet and after the Holocaust, immmigrated to Israel and settled in Jerusalem. Alreay as a youth, he began conducting Chassidic tables - a rare phenomenon in Chassidut history. After his marriage, he lived for a while in Kiryat Ata, after which he is known. In 1982, he moved back to Jerusalem and founded his Chatzer.  Rabbi Herscheleh was famed as a wonder-worker. Authored the books Torat Chaim VeEmunah on the Torah, Kedushat Zvi and more.
