Important Letter with a Correction Handwritten by the Rebbe Signed by the Secretary - Menachem Av 1962 - Letter by the Rebbe on an aerogram, from Rosh Chodesh Av, Menachem Av 1, 1962. Sent from Beit Chayeinu 770, Brooklyn, New York. With a corrections and punctuation handwritten by the Rebbe. The letter was signed on behlaf of the Admor Shlita by the secretary Rabbi Shalom Menachem Mendel Simpson. At the beginning of the letter, the Rebbe writes that he will mention the addressee by the Tziyun: ”בעת רצון יזכירוהו על הציון הק' של כ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר זצוקללה”ה נבג”מ זי”ע, למילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה”. Then, the Rebbe responds to what the addresee had written in his letter to the Rebbe:  ”ובודאי למותר להאריך, שהלימוד צריך להיות בהתמדה ושקידה הן בנגלה דתורה והן בפנימיות התורה היא היא תורת החסידות, שנוסף על העיקר שזהו ציווי השי”ת, הרי זה גם צנור וכלי לקבלת ברכת השי”ת במילוי משאלות לבבו לטובה , והובטחנו אדם מקדש עצמו מעט מלמטה מקדשין אותו הרבה מלמעלה”. At the end of the letter, the Rebbe's instruction, which is an important general instruction: לשאלתו בשיעורי חת”ת (חומש תהלים ותניא) שלפעמים לומדם בלילה, באיזה לילה ימלא החסר ביום. כפי ששמענו [the Rebbe's correction here] מכ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר נשיא ישראל, הוא [here too, a correction of a letter by the Rebbe] הלילה שלאחריו, אלא שבנוגע לתהלים, מנהגנו לא לאמרו משקיעת החמה ועד חצות לילה (מלבד ביום הכיפורים וכיו”ב). בברכה לבשו”ט בכל האמור ”.
