Extremely Rare! The Siddur with the Rebbe's Special Blessings which was Given by Him to Jewish Children with a General Letter - the Eve of Shavu'ot 1979 - ”הסידור מתנת ה' הוענק לילד/ה כ”נחלת עולמים” כדי שיבקשו בהם כל הדברים הטובים, וכפי שרשם כ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר בסידורים שהעניק במתנה שיתקבלו כל תפילותינו – אמן כן יהי רצון”.   (From the Rebbe's words before the Chalukah - see more in Mazkeret Netzach, p. 10 and onwards).  Pocket-format Siddur (13 cm) given by the Rebbe during a special Chalukah for Jewish children on the eve of Shavu'ot 1979. Siddur Tehillat Hashem, based on the Ari version as founded by Rabbeini Baal HaTnaya and the Shulchan Aruch. Revised edition. at its end (with a seperate title page) Sefer Tehillim Ohel Yosef Yitzchak. Mounted on the inside flyleaf is the general letter that was received with this Siddur. This Siddur, however, is without the dollar that was given with it. On the letter, wirtten in a child's script is the name of the recipient of the Siddur (the name is concealed in the catalog).  Minor blemishes and marks of usage. Original binding, blemished with a mostly erased embossment (see picrures). Good overall condition.  About this important and rare Chalukah From Mazkeret Netzach on the Rebbe's Chalukot:  At the beginning of Sivan 1979, the Rebbe instructed to print 1500 Siddurim of the pocket-format edition to be handed out to Jewish children. With the Siddurim, a dollar bill for charity was enclosed as well as a 'personal' letter by the Rebbe to the children. At the end of the Hitva'adut of Leil Erev Shavu'ot, the Rebbe handed out the Siddurim to children before Gil Mitzvot. It should be noted that the Rebbe demonstrated the significance he attached to handing out the Siddurim himself to the children by telling one of the parents who came to receive a Siddur for his child that the child himslef should come to him to receive the Siddur! On Wednesday, Sivan 5, the eve of Shavu'ot 1979, during the Hitva'adut , the Rebbe said he would hand out Siddurim and dollars to boys before Bar Mitzvah and girls before Bat Mitzvah. Later, the Rebbe said: ”עכשיו ישתדלו שכל הילדים שהם קודם בר-מצווה יעלו למעלה, ויעניקו להם סידורים... The Rebbe also asked the parents to write the child's name on the letter that was mounted on the Siddur.  The Rebbe blessed the owners of the Siddur with warm blessings: ”והשם יתברך יעזור שכולם יגדלו לתורה חופה ומעשים טובים מתוך הרחבה... הסידור מתנת ה' הוענק לילד/ה כ”נחלת עולמים” כדי שיבקשו בהם כל הדברים הטובים, וכפי שרשם כ”ק מו”ח אדמו”ר בסידורים שהעניק במתנה שיתקבלו כל תפילותינו – אמן כן יהי רצון”. Inside the Siddur there were a dollar bill (not in this Siddur) and a letter (mounted at the beginning of this Siddur). Among others, the following is written in the letter:   ”ויהי רצון מהשם יתברך אשר, על פי המבואר בסידור זה (בתחלתו ”השכמת הבקר”), תרגיל את עצמך להתבונן לפני מי אתה עומד – ”לפני מלך מלכי המלכים הקב”ה... ועל ידי זה בוודאי תזדרז בלימוד התורה ובקיום מצותי' ובהנהגה טובה בכלל, ובכל זה – באופן דמוסיף והולך ואור בשמחה ובטוב לבב, ויקויים בך מה שנאמר: בניהם לדור אחרון מספרים תהלות הוי' ונפלאותיו אשר עשה... בברכת הצלחה בכל האמור, ובברכה לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות ”.
