Early and Extremely Rare Edition! Likuteu Moharan by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov - Zholkva / Lviv, ca. 1850 - Sefer Likutei Moharan, the section sof Kama and Tanyana together. Imrot Tehorot by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. An important Chassidic Sefer Yesod. Zholkva? 1809? Stefansky Chassidut #285.  This early edition is considered one of the earliest editions of this Chassidic Sefer Yesod; bibliographers disagree on whether this is the second edition or a later one.  The place of priinting does not appear on the title page. The year on the title page is תקס”ט [1809], which presents an obvious difficulty since Rabbi Nachman of Breslov passed away in 1811 yet he is referred to by the title page as ”זלה”ה”.  There is disagreement among scholars: Rabbi Natan Zvi Konig [Neveh Tzaddikim, Bnei Berak 1969, p. 41] believes this is the Lemberg ca.1830 editon; Rosenthal, however, in Yode'a Sefer and the Tzedner Catalog, on the basis of the title page, states that the edition was printed in 1809. According to Gershom Scholem, the edition was printed in Lemberg or Zholkva in ca. 1850 (G. Scholem, Kuntres Eleh Shemot, Jerusalem 1928, p. 14, no. 37).  This edition is one of the fascinating examples of Chassidic ”secret editions”, which were printed in secret due to the persecutions against Breslov Chassidim at the time.  [1], 81; [1], 29 leaves. 22.5 cm.  Good condition. Signatures from the time of printing and glosses. Stains, creases and wear to the edges. The lower edge of the first title page with the year of printing was cut across the leaf. New binding.
