Rare! Handwritten Signature of Rabbi Yosef Landau Av Beit Din of Iasi a Disciple of the Kedushat Levi of Berditchev and the Chavruta of the Rav Hakadosh of Ruzhin! Sefer Yesod: Beit Yaakov by Rabbi Yaakov of Lisa - First Edition Harobashov, 1823 - Sefer Yesod: Beit Yaakov  two sections - Chidushim on Shulchan Sruch Even Haezer and in Masechet Ketubot, by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Lorberbaum of Lisa author of the Netivot Hamishpat , one of the foremost Acharonim and a leading Posek. Harobashov, 1823.  First edition of the famed scholarly book. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 93. [2], 32; 51 [i.e. 52] leaves. The title page of Section I is missing; it was replaced with the title page of Section II. 33.5 cm. Stamps. Stains and other minor blemishes. Taping to several leaves - affecting the text of one of them. The edges of the last two leaves are shorter than the others, Good overall condiiton.  Pedigreed copy The personal copy of Rabbi Yosef Landau Av Beit Din of Iasi (Jassy), a disicple of Rabbi levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta. Was also close to Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. The Ruzhiner greatly parised him, describing him as  ”הרב הגאון המפורסם חריף ובקי חכם השלם החסיד ועניו” . The two were very close and even studied Kabbalah together, especially Sefer Etz Chaim by the Ari Hakadosh.  On the top of leaf 1 of Section I, the handwritten signature of Rabbi Yosef Landau of Iasi: ”הק' יוסף האבד”ק יאס” . On the last page of the book, he signed: הק' יוסף חפ”ק יאס, מליטין” . There is an additional signature alongside this one:  ”הק' מתתי' כהנא מיאס כעת פה וואסלאי” .. At the top of the title page, there is an additional ownership notation: ”שייך להרב מוה' יוסף דק' ליטין”. His handwritten signature is extremely rare! In this book, his signature appears twice!
