Letter Handwritten Entirely by the Admor of Bohush to the Admor the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz - Bnei Berak, ca. 19602 - Fascinating letter handwritten and signed by the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman of Bohush, addressed to his relative The Admor Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, author of the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz. Tel Aviv. Tuesday Parashat Beha'alotcha, no date [ca. 1960s].  In the letter, the Rebbe of Bohush requests that the Imrei Chaim be president of the religious enterprise of the Gaon Rabbi Menachem Nachum Guttman, the Rav of Jassy (Iași), Romania and the Baal Shem Tov grandson who immigrated to Israel and began publishing the series of books Otzar Agudat Hachassidim.  This is a rare indication of the direct and close cooperation between the foremost Chassidic leaders in Israel at the time, in ”Tel Aviv shel Mala”.  [1] visiting card printed on quality Bristol paper (6X10 cm.) written on both sides, with 11 lines handwritten and signed by the Admor of Bohush.  Very good condition. Filing perforations.  Enclosed is the original envelope with the addressee's details handwritten by the Rebbe.  *** The Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman of Bohush (1903-1992) the son of the Admor Rabbi Shalom Yosef of Shpikov and son-in-law of his uncle, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Bohush. Since 1930 served as the Admor of Bohush and was on eof the mosr revered Chassidic figures in Romania. In 1951, he immigrated to Israel and established his Beit Midrash in Tel Aviv. In 1987, it was moved to Bnei Berak.  He was famed as a wonderous Tzaddik and a wonder-worker and thousands came to him for blessing. Even in his old-age, his skin was smooth and soft as a baby's.  The Admor Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager (1888-1972) the son of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael the Ahavat Yisrael of Vizhnitz, and son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Zeev of Rachmastrivka. He received his Semicha from the Maharsham of Berezhany, was Rav in Vilchovitz (Romania) until the Holocaust, and after it, re-established the Chassidut in Israel, founded Kiryat Vizhnitz, and Vizhnitz institutions in Bnei Berak. He was a member of the Mo'etzet Gedolei HaTorah and a prominent leader of the Chareidi community in Israel.
