Complete Set of the First Edition of Sefer Zera Emet by Rabbi Yishmael Hacohen - Lengthy Glosses Handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Shalom Chaim Hacohen of Modena - Extremely rare - complete set of Shut Zera Emet - by the Gaon and Posek Rabbi Yishmael Hacohen of Modena - Livorno-Reggio, 1786-1823 - first edition.  It is rare to find the complete set . The first two sections were published in the author's lifetime and the third one after his passing in an edition of 240 copies only!!! The author: the Gaon Rabbi Yishmael Hacohen of Modena (1724-1811) a leading contemporary Italian Rav. Established a yeshiva in Modena which had hundreds of students who became leading Poskim and rabbis. Was also a leading Meshiv who wrote thousands of responses and Psakim, Authored the three sections of Zera Emet, a halachic Sefer Yesod that is cited to this day.  In section III there are lengthy glosses handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Shalom Chaim Hacohen of Modena.  Section I - two parts with separate title pages - Orach Chaim and Be'urei Sugyot - the Press of Avraham Yitzchak Castello and Eliezer Sadon - Livorno, 1786. [5], 121; [1], 64 leaves.  Owner's stamp of the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Khalfon of Tripoli. Owner's notations on the flyleaf and a gloss.  New binding. Good condition.  Section II - Yoreh Deah and Hilchot Treifot - the Press of Rabbi Yaakov Nunis Vais and Rabbi Raphael Mildola - Livorno, 1796. [2], 200; 15 leaves.  Worn half-leather binding. Good condition.  Section III - Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deah - the Press of Rabbi Chanaya Elchanan Chai Cohen - Reggio, 1823. [2], 200, [2] leaves. Leaf 190 is incomplete and was completed with Italian script from the time of printig.  New binding. Quality paper. Moth damage to the end of the book. Fair-good condition.  On the leaves of the book there are engthy glosses handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Shalom Chaim Hacohen of Modena . These glosses are important since Rabbeinu knew the author Rabbi Yishmael Hacohen and was possibly his disciple since he refers to him in glosses that were printed in Kovetz Beit Aharon VeYisrael. His glosses on Shevach Pesach by the same Rabbi Yishmael Hacohen were auctioned in the past.  The glosses were signed by Rabbeinu using the unusual title: ”הקטן מאד” !!!.
