Discovery? Is This the Handwritten Signature of Rabbi Avraham Chaim Horowitz of Plontsh - the In Law of the Rebbe of Satmar? - Three books by the Maharl: Gevurot Hashem, Tiferet Yisrael and Netzach Yisrael. Bound together with separate title pages for each book. Approbations by leading Chassidic rabbis: Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and the Maggid of Kozhnitz. Lemberg [Lviv], 1859-1860.  On the first title page and on another of the leaves of the book [Gevurot Hashem, leaf 59a] there are two Rabbinic signatures ”אברהם חיים הורוויץ” - possibly the signature of the Admor Rabbi Avraham Chaim Horowitz Av Beit Din of Plontsh [Poland], the in-law of Rabbi Yoel of Satmar who lived and operated in the area at the same time.  Objects of Rabbi Avraham Chaim Horowitz of Plontsh are extremely rare; books or letters with is signature have never been auctioned, except for a single book with his stamp, not with his signature. Lviv, 1860. 83 leaves, 23 cm.  Good overall condition. Aging stains. Signatures. *** The Admor and wonder-worker Rabbi Avraham Chaim Horowitz of Plontsh (1850-1918) a descendant of Ropshitz. Served as Av Beit Din of Plontsh and in 1894, after his father's passing, became an Admor with thousands of Chassidim. In 1911, he moved to Reisha. During WWI, he escaped to Budapest, returning to Reisha after the war and there he pased away in Tishrei 1918.
