Letter with the Handwriting and Signature of the Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka - Jerusalem, 1974 - המעתיר בעדו לישועה ורחמים - letter with a blessing for the New Year - by Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka - with his handwriting and signature - Jerusalem, Elul, 1974.  Rabbeinu sent the letter to Bnei Berak. The Admor notes the addressee and his family by their names and their mother's name, as customary in a Kvitel. He sends them specialblessings for the New Year: ”הנותן בים דרך ובמים עזים נתיבה הוא ייטיב הכתיבה והחתימה ויחדש עלינו שנה טובה.... ויזכהו השי”ת בברכת שנה טובה ומבורכת בכל מילי דמיטב...” . At the end of the letter, Rabbeinu added a line handwritten and signed by him, doubling his blessings for a good and sweet year. With his personal stamp.  *** The Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka (1900-1982) was a descendant of Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl (the Meor Einayim). He revived the Chassidut after the Holocaust. He studied under his father, the Admor Rabbi David, and immigrated with his family to Eretz Yisrael in 1926. After his father’spassing in 1950 he was appointed his successor in Jerusalem.
