Beautiful Letter with a Blessing for the New Year - Handwritten and Signed by the Dayan Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Nochumausky of Shavel - in Square Script! - רחם ד' עמו מצריו יחלצהו - letter with a fine blessing for the New Year - written in fine square script - handwritten and signed by the Dayan Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Nochumausky of Shavel (Lithuania) - 1934.  Rabbi Nochumausky wrote the blessing on verso of an official postcard bearing his name. The blessing was written in square script in the format of an achrostic of the Hebrew year 'תרצ”ד'. לשנה טובה תכתבו ותחתמו ת בוא שנת גילה ורנה ר חם ד' עמו מצריו יחלצהו צ יונה בשמחה יעלהו מכל מדינה ד ביר קדשו על מקומו יכוננהו The Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Nochumausky served as Dayan of Shavel (Lithuania) alongside the Rav of the town the Gaon Rabbi Meir Atlas. Was murdered by the Nazis in 1943. There is a famous picture of Rabbeinu's last moments of life featuring him with other Jews from the town headed by Rabbi Meir Atlas led by Nazi soldiers to be killed in the woods. .
