Cunaeus, “The Republic of the Hebrews in the Land of Israel during the First Temple and the Mishkan, ” with wonderful illustrations hand-drawn. First part, Amsterdam 1682. Published by Wilhelmus Goeree. Colorful engravings, some of which are folded: Moses and Aaron, the Beit HaMikdash, the High Priest, and a separate one of the High Priest on Yom Kippur, a chart of the Kohen’s clothing, the Destruction of the Temple, coins from the period, a copy of an illustration showing the taking of the Menorah from Titus’s Arch, the Tower of Babel. Partially missing copy—there are 10 engravings out of 17 in the original. No front binding or spine. Some illustrations are partially missing at the edges, with slight staining, generally good condition.
