Books of kabbalah which were printed in those years in Koritz were published by students of the Maggid of Mastrich with the goal of spreading kabbalah throughout the world and bring about the Redemption. 121 pages, 33cm. Pages 66, 109, and 121 have signatures of ownership of: “Alter ben Baruch Wolf.” Pages 8 and 9 have stamp: “Baruch Binyamin Zeev.” Probably refers to Rabbi Baruch Binyamin Zeev Weinstock and his son Rabbi Menachem Kalonymus Alter. Rabbi Baruch Binyamin Zeev Weinstock (died 1872) was the son of Rabbi Avigdor Avraham. In his youth he had the merit of seeing Rabbeinu the Chozeh of Lublin. He was a student of Rabbi Yosef Baruch “the Good Jew of Nishtat”, son of the Maor v’Shemesh. He moved to Jerusalem in 1848, where he served as the first dayan in the Chassidic beit din. He led the Warsaw Kollel and was a shadar. He was a talmid chaver of the Admor Rabbi Elazar Mendel of Lalov. His son, Rabbi Menachem Kalonymus Alter, was a sage of Jerusalem who died at an early age. His grandson was a kabbalist, Rabbi Moshe Yair Weinstock, who authored many books on the subject.
