Wood, gesso, tempera, face strips of wood on the back of an icon. Dimensions 25.5х31.5 сm, . Central Russia, turn of ХХ century.
In the centerpiece there is a full-length image of John the Precursor in the iconographic type of the Angel of the Desert, with an unfolded scroll with the text "Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand". (The Gospel of Matthew 4;17) There are 6 marginal scenes around the centerpiece: 1. An angel takes the infant John into the desert; 2. The Birth; 3. The Baptism of Christ; 4. The Beheading; 5. The Epiphany of the Angel Zechariah; 6. Finding the Head of John the Precursor.
Condition, crumbling and swelling of the ground, flaking of the tempera.

中间是约翰全身像写在圣像画术的风格- “沙漠天使”展开的卷轴上写着“悔改吧，因为天国近了”。 （马太福音 4；17）中心装饰有 6 个标志： 1. 天使带领婴儿约翰进入旷野； 2.圣诞节； 3. 基督的洗礼； 4.斩首； 5. 天使向撒迦利亚显现； 6. 接受施洗约翰的头。
条件，摇摇欲坠和肿胀的底漆，剥落的蛋彩画。
