[Fantastic Guardian Beast]. Decorative Figurine. China, Qing Dynasty. Late 19th – early 20th century. Silver assayed by reagent, gilding, applied filigree, coloured enamels, paints, applied elements, pendants, stone insertions (turquoise, rose quartz, coral, jade). A three-dimensional hollow figurine of a standing fantastic guardian beast with a large head, short massive neck, powerful body and four straight legs. The body, legs and part of the head are entirely covered with a dense carpet of fine spiral applied filigree, forming a decorative ”fur” relief. The mane, chest, back and tail are adorned with applied relief elements in the form of tongue-shaped plates and scrolls, partly gilded and covered with vivid enamels in blue, turquoise, green, yellow and red tones. Around the neck is a wide ornamented collar with a frieze of coloured enamels and round cabochon insertions of natural stones: turquoise, rose quartz and coral; small drop-shaped pendants of stone and glass are attached to the lower edge of the collar. On the upper part of the tail is a fan-shaped cluster of applied strips, partly gilded and enamelled, with additional stone insertions. The head is rendered with pronounced features: large protruding eyes, a sculpted muzzle, contrasting colour accents on the forehead, bridge of the nose and cheeks, hanging ”whiskers” and a beard of applied elements. At the base of the legs are through openings (a structural feature of the hollow figure). Marks: unmarked. Dimensions: length 9.3 cm; width 4.4 cm; height 9 cm. Condition: overall very good; wear, darkening, signs of use, with localised losses of the paint layer and enamel, particularly on the head and nose, and partial abrasion of the painted decoration. On the right hind leg — a minor loss of a fragment of the applied filigree. One applied element above the ear is missing. The principal decorative scheme, including the stone insertions on the collar and tail, is preserved. 【瑞兽护灵】装饰摆件。中国，清代。十九世纪末至二十世纪初。 试剂检测白银，鎏金，掐丝累丝贴饰，彩色珐琅，彩绘，贴饰构件，垂饰，宝石镶嵌（绿松石、芙蓉石、珊瑚、玉 石）。 立体中空造型的站立瑞兽护灵摆件，头部硕大，颈部粗短壮硕，躯体雄健，四肢直立。躯体、四肢及头部部分区域 满覆细密的螺旋状掐丝累丝贴饰，形成装饰性的”绒毛”浮雕效果。 鬃毛、胸部、背部及尾部装饰有舌形片状及卷云纹的贴饰浮雕构件，部分鎏金，并施以蓝、松石绿、绿、黄、红等 鲜艳珐琅彩。颈部配有宽大的纹饰项圈，饰以彩色珐琅饰带及天然宝石圆形戒面镶嵌：绿松石、芙蓉石、珊瑚；项 圈下缘垂挂以宝石与玻璃制成的小型水滴形垂饰。尾部上端饰有扇形排列的贴饰条带，部分鎏金并施珐琅彩，另嵌 有宝石。 头部刻画特征鲜明：双目硕大凸出，面部立体浮雕，额头、鼻梁及面颊处以对比色彩点缀，垂挂的”长 须”与髯须均为贴饰构件。四足底部设有通透孔洞（中空造型的结构特征）。 款识：无款。 尺寸：长 9.3 厘米；宽 4.4 厘米；高 9 厘米。 品相：整体保存状况甚佳；存在磨损、氧化变暗及使用痕迹，局部彩绘层与珐琅有所缺失，尤以头部及鼻部为甚， 彩绘部分磨损。右后腿处掐丝累丝贴饰有轻微残缺。耳部上方缺失一处贴饰构件。主要装饰构图，包括项圈与尾部 的宝石镶嵌，均保存完好。
