Louis-Albert Carvin - Impressive Patinated Bronze Sculpture ”German Shepherd Dog with Clocks” (Pendulette de Bureau) - Signed L. Carvin - Art Deco Period Artist: Louis-Albert Carvin (1875-1951), a well-known French sculptor of the Art Deco period, specializing in animal subjects. Important patinated bronze sculpture depicting a German Shepherd Dog (Alsatian) in an alert and elegant pose, with a pocket watch hanging around its neck (in this case, a Pendulette de Bureau or clock garniture). Materials: Bronze with a dark brown patina (variable), resting on a sculpted base imitating rocks, which in turn is mounted on a dark marble plinth. Signature: The work bears the embossed signature of the sculptor, L. Carvin, on the base. Condition: In good overall condition consistent with its age. The patina is original. Approximately 40 cm. Materiali: Bronzo con patina marrone scura (variabile), poggiante su una base scolpita che imita rocce, a sua volta montata su un plinto di marmo scuro  Marmo Verde Alpi  Firma: L'opera reca la firma in rilievo dello scultore, L.
