Antique Pendulum Wall Clock with Painted Scene, Italy/France, Early 19th Century Magnificent antique wall clock, featuring a shaped frame inlaid with fine woods, probably walnut and mahogany, which encloses and protects the dial with a glass cover. The case features an elegant design, typical of the Empire or Charles X style (circa 1800-1840). Dial and Decoration: At the center, the enameled or painted metal dial, with cobalt blue Roman numerals on a light background. The upper and lower parts of the dial are enriched by a masterfully executed pictorial scene, depicting a gallant and landscape scene with figures on horseback and on foot, buildings and a bridge. These subjects were very popular in the period and add great artistic value to the clock. Movement: The clock is equipped with a pendulum movement. Condition: Excellent overall condition. La cassa presenta un design elegante, tipico dello stile Impero o Carlo X (circa 1800-1840). Quadrante e Decorazione: Al centro, il quadrante in metallo smaltato o dipinto, con numeri Romani blu cobalto su fondo chiaro. La parte superiore e inferiore del quadrante sono arricchite da una scena pittorica magistralmente eseguita, che rappresenta una scena galante e paesaggistica con figure a cavallo e a piedi, edifici e un ponte. Questi soggetti erano molto popolari nel periodo e aggiungono grande valore artistico all'orologio. Movimento: L'orologio è dotato di un movimento a pendolo.  Condizioni: Ottime condizioni conservative generali.
