Monumental Grandfather Clock – ”Mora Clock” of High Cabinetry 280 cm - Refined and imposing longcase clock, a masterful example of 18th-century continental cabinetry. The piece is distinguished by its sinuous and slender silhouette, typical of high-end Swedish production (Mora style), reinterpreted with the material richness of Central European cabinetry. Wood and Structure Analysis: Essence and Veneer: The case is made of solid wood covered with a precious burr walnut (or burr chestnut) veneer, chosen for its spectacular and symmetrical flaming. The circular base features a ”bookmatched” processing that creates a natural design of great visual impact. Furniture Architecture: The cabinet is divided into three distinct sections: Finial: Bell-shaped with a projecting cornice, enclosing the dial. Central Body: Tapering upwards, it houses an oval window (bull's-eye) that allows observation of the lenticular pendulum's oscillation. Base: Circular in shape, supported by scroll feet (cabriole), which gives stability and grace to the entire structure. The Dial: Made of white enamel with black Roman numerals for the hours and a minute track, surmounted by a decorative element painted or embossed within the upper lunette.
