Two-Part Wooden Sideboard – France, Late 18th - Early 19th Century - Refined antique two-part sideboard, made in France between the late 18th and early 19th centuries. This piece stands out for its sturdy construction and elegant decorations, typical of French cabinet-making during the transitional period between Louis XVI and Empire styles. Main features: Two-Part Structure: The cabinet consists of two superimposed sections, with the upper part slightly set back from the base. Material: Made of precious wood, probably walnut or cherry, with a warm natural patina that enhances its grain. Upper Body: Equipped with two paneled doors, each enriched with shaped central mirror panels and discreet geometric moldings. The upper cornice has a clean line with a slight projecting frame. Intermediate Top: The upper base widens to form a comfortable countertop, supported by shaped side shelves that frame the central body.
