Large Neo-Renaissance Dining Table with Floral Marble Top and Carved ”Fratino” Base – Early 20th Century - Imposing dining table with eclectic taste, recalling the severe and monumental forms of the Italian Renaissance (”fratino” or refectory style). The furniture stands out for the material juxtaposition between the cold elegance of marble and the warmth of carved dark wood. The Top: Rectangular in shape with semicircular ends, the top is made of precious floral marble in pink, gray, and white tones, with a ogee-moulded edge. The Base: The supporting structure consists of two sturdy central bulb-turned uprights, connected by a median crossbar (cruciform). The Supports: At the four corners, the top is further supported by slender but elegant spiral supports (twin spiral columns) resting on dice-shaped bases, giving dynamism to the structure.
