Table clock with female figure under glass dome – 19th Century - Table clock with female figure under glass dome – 19th Century Elegant gilded metal mantel clock, 19th-century period. The work is characterized by a rich rocaille base with volutes and floral friezes, on which rests the circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals. Beside the dial is a finely modeled female figure in period attire, in a pensive attitude. The sculptural complex is surmounted by a decorative shell finial. The clock is protected by its original glass dome (globe de mariée) and rests on an oval base of black ebonized wood
