Delicate blossoms, perched birds, and subtle vases in the border convey both restraint and harmony. The composition merges traditional Chinese symbolism with the pared-down sophistication of early twentieth-century design. Condition: Lot # 423 is in a poor to good condition. The pile is mostly full and even. The rug is antiqued washed. There is a 2” x 10” patch at one end and an area of 5” x 5” rewoven at the other end. The sides are secured.
