Hereke rugs ? whether in wool or silk ? are prized for their precision of design, refinement of palette, and the distinguished decorative character that places them among the most collectible of all Turkish weavings. Condition: Lot #279 is in fair to good condition. The pile is mostly full and even, with minor areas of wear showing. There are scattered stains throughout the piece, and we recommend professional hand cleaning. Both ends would benefit from hand-securing, while the sides are secured.
