Zichron Yehudah. Ungvar, 1867. RARE book. Sermons of Torah novellae with poems by Rabbi Yehudah Eisenstadt of Ungvar, son of the Maharam Ash, with his biography and ways of life. Together with chidushim from his brother (and publisher) Rabbi Menachem Eisenstadt who succeeded their father as Rabi of Ungvar. The author was one of the rabbinic leaders of Hungary and rabbi of Ungvar, known as the author of Imrei Esh. He passed away in 1852 and his son Rabbi Menachem Eisenstadt brought this book to print. The last leaves contain poems written by Rabbi Yehudah Eisenstadt. Renowned bibliographer and collector Yisrael Mehlman wrote on the flyleaf of this copy: Uncommon. 68, [6] leaves, 19 cm. Minimal aging stains, glue in the margins of the first leaves without any damage. Fine condition.
