SEGULA! MANUSCRIPT TORAH WRITINGS OF RABBI MOSHE SOFER - THE CHASSAM SOFER . Novella on Talmud Bavli Tractate Ketubot Two sides containing Torah novellae of Rabbi Moshe Sofer – the Chassam Sofer, all in the author’s own handwriting. Torah novella on 3 parshas: Vayeishev, Mikeitz and Vayigash. Written by the Chasam Sofer in year 1797. More than 50 lines in his holy handwriting.  In parshas Vayigash there is one line which wasn't printed 24 x 19 cm. marginal flaws professionally restored - see pictures. בפר' ויגש רבינו מפרש על היות יוסף ”יפה תואר ויפה מראה” – שיוסף פירש מלאכול פתו ויינו של פוטיפר וזה משמעות הפסוק, 'ולא ידע אתו מאומה כי אם הלחם אשר הוא אוכל', פירושו שיוסף אכל לחם אחר ולא מסעודתו ועכ”ז היה יוסף ”יפה תואר ויפה מראה”. בפר' מקץ מפרש רבינו, על הויכוח בין אחי יוסף ליוסף שביקשו להאסר כולם במאסר במקום בנימין, ויוסף לא הסכים לכך, רבינו מפרש זאת שהדיון היה האם חל עליהם דין בן נח או דין ישראל ועפי”ז פירש את המקראות והדיון בפסוקי התורה, ומסיים רבינו, ”שלום רב לאוהבי תורתך, לאוהבי תורה לא יארע מכשול.. לו שלום”. בפר' ויגש מביא רבינו מדרש רבה אודות חושים בן דן, ודן בענין שבעים נפש ירדו מצריימה, ולידת יוכבד בין החומות וכו'. Rabbi Mordechai Banet , the famous Rabbi of Nikolsburg, gazed for a long time at the handwritten letter he received from the Chassam Sofer, and said that just looking at his handwriting is a segula to acquire Yiras Shamayim. Many stories are told of the power of the Chasam Sofer’s manuscripts and it is said that his son Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Krakow would look at his father’s manuscripts when having to make difficult decisions, as a member of the Austrian parliament.
