Shu”t HaRadach. First Edition - Constantinople, 1537 Halachic questions and responsa by Rabbi David Hakohein of Corfu. This sefer was printed by Eliezer son of the famous printer Gershom Soncino. With signature of Rabbi Shlome Zalman son of Rabbi Avraham Broda. Possibly also the signature of Rabbi Noson Maz. The Radach, Rabbi David Hakohein of Corfu (d. 1530) was one of great European sages in the era of the Spanish Expulsion. He corresponded extensively with the Re’em, Maharam Alshakar and Mahari ben Chaviv, author of the Ein Yaakov, as well as his own mentor Mahari Mintz. Rabbi Yosef Karo cites the Radach’s teshuvos in over twenty places in his landmark work, Beis Yosef. Shut” HaRadach was brought to print by the author’s son-in-law and disciple Rabbi David Vital, author of Kesser Torah (Constantinople, 1538). Constantinople, 1537-8 . First edition .
