A collection of traditional French fève miniatures, designed as santons - small handmade figures from the Provence region of France. - These figures are part of a long-standing Christian tradition associated with the Epiphany holiday in France. Traditional Use: The ”Peb” (French for ”pole”) is inserted into a special cake called a ”gallet de rois” (king's cake). Whoever finds the figure in their slice is crowned ”king” or ”queen” for the day. Design and Figures: The set pictured depicts a classic Nativity scene, including figures such as the baby Jesus in the crib, Mary, Joseph, the Three Wise Men, and shepherds, along with farm animals such as sheep and a donkey. Materials: The figures are usually made of porcelain or hand-painted ceramic. Average height: 2-5 cm.
