Gov Wentworth Proclamation 1775 - A framed proclamation by Governor Wentworth of New Hampshire proclaiming a general fast and prayer for King George and his family. Proclaimed in Portsmouth, NH on 24 March 1775. Note on 19 April 1775 the battle of Lexington and Concord took place. Governor Wentworth soon fled to Nova Scotia. This is a rare and probably his last proclamation. Also note the words ”most favored” was deleted in front of Sovereign King. On 1700s laid paper.  Dimensions: 13.5” x 10”, 22” x 17”
