Papago Hand Woven Coil Braided Edge Basket
Included in this lot we have a Papago Native American hand woven coil basket with braided edge. The basket displays traditional hand woven coil construction. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. The basket is made with yucca and bear grass with a five pointed star pattern. The rim of the basket displays a wonderful braided design not commonly found on baskets. The basket shows good condition overall with little to no wear. The piece measures 16" in diameter by 5" tall.
