He was listed as a director of the bank of North America and of the Philadelphia Insurance Company- both were associated with the Cox Family. He was a business partner of Henry Pratt- a wealthy entrepreneur and shipping merchant in Philadelphia. Abraham Kintzing lived during the late 1700s and late 1800s and was painted by Thomas Sully in 1815 because of his influence in the Philadelphia mercantile and financial spaces. Provenance: Abraham Kintzing is a direct descent of the consignor and the painting has been passed down through the family for the last 7 generations. Sight: 28 3/4 x 23 3/4 in.
