Elizabeth Ann Brooks Painted Wood Savings Bank - Elizabeth Ann Brooks Painted Wood Savings Bank English or American, 19th/20th C. A 19” Century bank in the form of a house. The house façade is painted to imitate cut stone blocks and includes four painted windows and a door, all with pediments, trimmed in green and red. The house also has quoins at the corners. A large sign on the roof says: ”Elizabeth Ann Brooks SAVING BANK” in black letters on a red ground. Provenance: Stephanie Adams Wood at the Connecticut Antiques Show, 1985 9 1/4 x 7 3/4 x 5 3/8 in.
