Associations and Provenance: This painting was purchased in the 1950s when Leslie's mother bought the Canton China collection (containing about 150 pieces of Canton) from a descendant who lived in Seaford, Long Island, NY. The descendant said the portrait was her grandfather, who purchased a Canton collection for each of his daughters in Rhode Island in the mid-19th C. Inherited from Leslie's Family. Sight: 9 x 7 in.
