A RARE BLUE LACQUERED HIGH QUALITY NATSUME TEACADDY, 20TH CENTURY - A natsume tea caddy called ‘the sound of autumn’ (store box) by the contemporary lacquer-master Ikenoura Daiki depicting sprays of lespedeza (hagi) and autumn grasses in gold makie-lacquer on a clear blue ground. The inside dark silver lacquered with the lid a design of autumn asters (shion) in raised lacquer. At the bottom signed: made by Daiki. In original tomobako store box. 7 by 7 cm.
