A LARGE JAPANESE LACQUERED LOW TABLE, SHOWA PERIOD (1926-1989) - A large, dazzling lacquered low table 座卓 (zataku), rectangular of shape with elegant double-lobed corners. Fully encrusted with shiny iridescent blue-pink mother-of-pearl 螺鈿 (raden), embedded in glossy black lacquer. The tabletop is defined by a subtly raised rim, complementing its exquisite craftsmanship. It stands on four gracefully curved console-shaped feet, each also featuring double-lobed detailing. Period: Japan – Shôwa period (1926-1989). Dimensions: Height 32.5 cm, Width 151 cm, Depth 91 cm. It is in a very good original condition. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.
