A PAIR OF CHINESE HUANGHUALI CARVED BOXES AND COVERS, QING DYNASTY (1644–1911) - A finely crafted pair of Huanghuali wood boxes, each featuring a central panel on the cover with two facing dragons encircling a Chinese character. The sides are adorned with intricately carved scenes of two dragons chasing a flaming pearl above crashing waves, bordered by a traditional key fret pattern. Resting on elegantly carved wooden bases.
