A CHINESE PORCELAIN ALTAR VASE, 19TH-20TH CENTURY - A Chinese porcelain vase of archaistic gu form with a trumpet neck resting above a central bulb and a bell-shaped foot, the upper register finely decorated with the Bajixiang emblems among leafy lotus scrolls between a band of ruyi-heads and an upright border of plantain leaves, all above a band of key-fret interrupted by a horizontal Qianlong iron-red six-character seal within a horizontal panel, the lower register similarly decorated with the four remaining Bajixiang, the interiors of the neck and base enameled in turquoise.
