A FINE DAMASCUS TILE PANEL, OTTOMAN SYRIA, 18TH CENTURY - The square panel comprising 25 tiles, the cream ground of each tile with delicately drawn interlaced floral sprays, two central birds drinking from a fountain under two perched birds, above a figure in hunting scene with rabbits, flanked on both sides with two large vases issuing swaying carnations and tulips with rosettes amongst foliage, above a tiger hunting a deer, all within a turquoise and copper red waves border. 97.50 by 97.50 cm.
