TWO NEPALESE BRONZE STATUES, 19TH CENTURY - A Bronze figure of a seated Sadakshari Avalokiteshvara Seated in Dhyanasana on a double-lotus base, the primary hands folded in Anjali mudra in front of the chest, the secondary arms raised, clad in a patterned dhoti draped over the shoulders, adorned with multiple necklaces, the face with elongated eyes, bow-shaped mouth and, the hair piled into a high chignon fastened by a crown and surmounted by a small seated Amitabha. Height: 15 cm. A Bronze figure of a seated Bodhisattva Seated in Dhyanasana on a double-lotus base in dhyanamudra, clad in a patterned dhoti draped over the shoulders, adorned with multiple necklaces, the face with elongated eyes, bow-shaped mouth and, the hair piled into a high chignon fastened by a crown. Height: 16 cm.
