A SILVER BOWL, SASSANIAN, 4TH-5TH CENTURY AD - A small silver bowl, from the later Sassanian period. The interior of the bowl is decorated with a band formed of a double circle and a light gilding within is an engraved goose, a fairly popular subject at the time. There is a small amount of damage to the bowl. Diameter: 14 cm. Height: 4 cm. Silver. Sassanian 4/5th.c.AD. PROVENANCE Private collection, Germany
