A SILVER KYBELE VOTIVE PLATE WITH PARTIAL GILDING, HELLENISTIC, 2ND-1ST CENTURY BC - Fragment of a finely chased silver votive plate with enthroned Kybele in an aedicule architecture. Gilded are base and capital of both columns of the naiskos, furthermore large parts of the garment of the deity, the mural crown and the mirror. The latter are the typical attributes of Cybele, also known as Magna Mater. In the area of the feet remains of a wild animal, which might have been a lion. The lower left half is missing, furthermore a breakout in the center right and above in the area of the pediment. Length: 11.3 cm.
