A LARGE BRONZE AGE ITALIC SPECTACLE BROOCH, CIRCA 8TH-7TH CENTURY BC - A substantial bronze spectacle brooch or fibula safety pin, formed as two large tightly-wound coils with figure-of-fourteen-shaped intermediate coils; a catchplate to the reverse with pin. Length: 16.5 cm. Weight:166 grams. CONDITION Fine condition. PROVENANCE Munich private collection in the 2000s, formerly in an old collection in the 1980s.
