A CHINESE BRONZE ARCHAIC ‘TAOTIE’-STYLE VASE, MID 2OTH CENTURY - Charming Chinese bronze vase with an archaic ‘Taotie’-style design, featuring a baluster shape. The vase is adorned with a decorative relief band depicting stylized phoenixes on a meandering background, interrupted by three vertical stylized protrusions. Cast in bronze with a lovely dark green mottled patina. Height 28.7 cm, Diameter 18 cm. Weight 2.2 kg. In a good original condition, with a small oxidation spot on the body, and one on the underside.
