A VERY RARE GLASS BIRD, NEAR EAST, 9TH CENTURY - A standing bird, of black and cream white glass, roughly pear-shaped with a hollow body, a plump breast and open tail. Circular protruding black eyes. Stylized wings dropped onto shoulders and drawn back along body and marvered feathers. Height: 6 cm. Width: 11 cm.
