AN EASTERN GREEK SEAL IN ORANGE CARNELIAN WITH A CRAB, 5TH CENTURY BC - A round orange carnelian bead shaped seal with an engraving of a crab. This seal might have been made from an earlier bead given the shape. Of good work probably made in a centre of Greek culture in Asia Minor under Persian rule. 23 mm in diameter. PROVENANCE Ex-European private collection acquired before 1970
